Adopt a Utah Senior

On May 27, 2017, just hours after his high school graduation ceremony, Zackery Tyler Jones had his final battle with depression and paid the ultimate price by taking his own life.

We want to make sure that nobody else feels as hopeless for their future as Zackery must have felt at that point in time.

Graduating High School is a huge step in life. One of the most challenging and important steps one will ever take! Getting started on the right foot can help these young adults to have the greatest chance for success. Many times, students feel unsure and confused about what to do after High School.

Where do we go?

Do we get a job and find an apartment right away?

Do we go to a full time University? And if so, how do we pay for it?

What if we are young parents and/or in financial crisis making it difficult to continue our education?

These questions are what each of these newly graduated, young adults has to think about. Creating attainable goals and following through with those goals is what can make all of the difference. Young adults entering this time of their lives, lost and uncertain, are far more likely to have severe hardships in life, including the deep dark hopelessness and depression that ultimately takes far too many lives.
